Description
Provide school-based prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, swallowing, and fluency. The services provided are designed to help children meet their educational goals.

Pay Rate Determiners
In addition to stated salary range, this position includes sign-on bonus.
In-State Applicants residing 100 or more miles away: 2025–2026 Sign-on Bonus for fully licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) totaling $6,000 paid in three (3) installments of $2,000 each on the first pay of each contract year for three years. Failure to return each contract year will result in forfeiture of the remaining bonus payments OR
Out-of-State Applicants: 2025–2026 Sign-on Bonus for fully licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) who live full-time out of the state at the time of hire totaling $10,000 paid as follows:
Fiscal Year 2026 (25–26 School Year): $5,000
Fiscal Year 2027 (26–27 School Year): $2,500
Fiscal Year 2028 (27–28 School Year): $2,500
Failure to return each contract year will result in forfeiture of the remaining bonus payments.

Schedule
Fairfield County, OH schools. 35 hours per week, 1,323 hours per year. School hours vary based on assignment.

Skills And Competencies
1. Collaborate with school personnel and others as needed to identify children with suspected speech and/or language disabilities.
2. Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings.
3. Administer formal and informal (ongoing & curriculum-based) assessments.
4. Provide diagnosis and appraisal of specific speech and/or language disabilities.
5. Interpret the results of the multi-factored evaluation and formulate recommendations for student’s Individual Education Plan designed to provide full and appropriate service in the least restrictive environment.
6. Schedule students according to the speech and/or language needs of each student.
7. Plan and provide evidence based interventions appropriate for individual students and groups of students.
8. Assist the students in the transfer of acquired skills to the classroom and home by working with the children’s teacher and parents.
9. Prepare diagnostic reports, schedule and attend evaluation team meetings, and IEPs as appropriate.
10. Make referrals to medical or other appropriate sources when necessary for information relative to the remediation of the speech or language disability.
11. Maintain accurate and appropriate student records of evaluation, progress reports, class lists, daily logs, etc.
12. Consult or provide in-service training programs for teachers, parents, administrators, and/or other interested members of the community.
13. Provide counseling and guidance to parents, children, and teachers regarding speech and language disabilities.
14. Collaborate and cooperate with related service professionals working with the school and professionals outside the school setting who provide services related to meeting the needs of students.
15. Provide assistance in the development of curriculum, textbook selection, and local policies as related to speech and language disabilities.
16. Attend training sessions, seminars, and conferences to continually improve knowledge related to speech, language, and hearing education
17. Assist in gathering of data and completion of reports as they relate to the Speech Language Pathology Program.
18. Collaborate and communicate with supervisor regarding schedule, caseload, and activities.
19. Implement due process procedures for identification, evaluation, placement, progress, and dismissal according to Ohio Department of Education regulations and district policies, procedures, and criteria.
20. Comply with policies and procedures established by the Fairfield County ESC and the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.
21. Provide supervision/mentorship for CF-SLP professionals.
