Description
We’re looking for a passionate SLP who’s playful, eager to learn, and growth-oriented to join our team! While this is currently a part-time position, the goal is to grow it into a full-time caseload as demand continues to increase.

We do not have any other SLPs at the moment and I (the owner and SLP) do not take home a significant pay as I funnel majority of it back into growing the practice.

The hours are guaranteed. Pay does not change due to cancellations or caseload lulls.
Pay Rate Determiners
The pay range for this position is $30–$42 per hour, based on a variety of factors related to education, experience, and clinical skill.
Candidates at the lower end ($30–$34/hour) typically:
- Are completing their Clinical Fellowship (CF).
- Have fewer than 2 years of pediatric experience.
- Require more direct supervision and onboarding support.
- Have limited experience with our primary caseload areas (e.g., AAC, autism, early language, speech sound disorders).
Candidates in the mid-range ($35–$39/hour) typically:
- Hold CCCs and a valid NYS license.
- Have 2–4 years of pediatric experience.
- Demonstrate independence in documentation, planning, and family communication.
- Show strong alignment with our clinic’s play-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach.
Candidates at the high end ($40–$42/hour) typically:
- Have 5+ years of relevant pediatric experience.
- Show advanced clinical skills or specializations (e.g., AAC, apraxia, gestalt language processing).
- Can contribute to clinic development, mentorship, or program growth.
- Work efficiently with minimal support and high consistency.

Reimbursements (untaxed)
All treatment and assessment materials are provided by the clinic. If a specific material or tool is not already available, requests will be considered for purchase.
Continuing education expenses will be reimbursed up to $500 per calendar year, with additional funding considered on a case-by-case basis for highly relevant or specialized training.
While travel is not currently required for this position, any future travel-related expenses (e.g., offsite evaluations, school visits) will be reimbursed in accordance with the clinic’s travel policy.

At this time, paid vacation/PTO is not provided for part-time employees.
This position includes unpaid sick leave in accordance with New York State law (1 hour accrued per 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours/year). Sick time may be used for illness or caring for a sick family member.

Productivity Requirements
This position focuses on providing high-quality, individualized care—not rushing to meet quotas. Direct therapy hours are balanced with time for documentation, planning, and completion of CEUs. When not actively providing therapy, team members are expected to use work hours for completing notes, preparing materials, participating in training, or supporting clinical operations.
Caseload Cap
Caseload size will be thoughtfully managed based on the therapist’s availability, clinical strengths, and comfort level.

Skills And Competencies
- Experience working with pediatric populations; strong play-based therapy skills and ability to engage young children creatively and effectively.
- Excellent written communication skills for accurate, timely documentation using an EMR.
- Professionalism and reliability, including punctuality, communication with staff, and respectful interactions with families.
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and contribute to a consistent, high-quality therapy experience.
- Comfort working independently while collaborating within a small team setting.
Preferred/Desired Skills:
- Positive, strengths-based mindset aligned with neurodiversity-affirming practices.
- Interest in professional development, specializing in specific areas of our field, and long-term growth within the practice.

- Clinical Fellowship candidates must be eligible for supervision under NYS and ASHA guidelines
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Completion of (or willingness to complete) NYS fingerprinting and background check
- Eligible for W-2 employment in the United States
- Willingness to follow clinic policies, procedures, and documentation timelines
