Skills And Competencies
As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
* Implement effective communication strategies to facilitate language development
* Conduct screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and develop student treatment plans
* Provide direct therapy services individually or in small groups
* Collaborate with and train educational professionals on strategies to support student progress
* Work in general and special education classrooms to improve communication and learning skills
* Maintain clear documentation on all students under your care
* Communicate progress with parents and guardians
* Attend IEP meetings and work with the education team to update student plans

State licenses: Georgia
CCCs required: No
Other required qualifications:

Client Availability and Impact on Pay
This is a school based position. Although the hours are not guaranteed, there are various services to be performed in the case of student absences. Make up services can be completed. There is payment for participation in IEP meetings, conferences, collaborations and consultations.

Monday–Friday based on the assigned school's bell schedule
Additional Work Hours
The responsibilities of the SLP role are to be completed during school hours.

Holidays
The schedule is based on the district calendar of Gwinnett County Public Schools. Holidays are unpaid.
Productivity Requirements
The expectation is to meet the treatment and speech-language needs of students based on their IEPs.
Caseload Cap
The caseload is typically 55-65 students based on district feedback.

Parental Leave Policy
None; this is a 1099 role
Does the Contract Include a Non-compete or Non-solicitation?
Yes, the expectation is that once the school year has begun therapists are expected to complete the school year to ensure continuity of care. If there is a transition to a competitor a fee will be assessed.
Clinical Fellowship
CFs cannot be 1099s. More info here. However, please reach out if you're a CF looking for work, because our company additionally has W2 roles.
