  • Complete evaluations, write progress notes, and maintain documentation (done online at your convenience).

Informed Pay

Full Pay Rate for All Hours Worked?

Yes, there are no reductions or “wavering” of hours. The hours you sign on for are the hours you will be compensated for. If you are scheduled to be on campus and a student is absent or unable to attend therapy, you are still paid for that time. This ensures complete stability and consistency in your pay, providing peace of mind that your hours are guaranteed.

Client Availability and Impact on Pay

Yes, the weekly hours are guaranteed. When you commit to a schedule with Collaborative Therapies, those hours are paid in full regardless of client availability. If a student is absent, cancels, or is otherwise unable to attend, you are still compensated for your scheduled hours. The only time pay would fluctuate is if your scheduled hours fall on a school holiday when the school is closed.

Pay Rate Determiners

The pay rate is determined by years of professional experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

  • $50/hour → for candidates with 1–2 years of experience
  • $53/hour → for candidates with 3–4 years of experience
  • $56/hour → for candidates with 5+ years of experience

Stipends (taxed)

To further support our team, Collaborative Therapies provides a monthly health stipend of $125. This stipend is issued on the first of every month and allows you to choose the health insurance plan that best fits your needs. The set amount is provided in addition to your pay and is yours to apply toward your preferred coverage.

IMPORTANT: This adds $1500 to your annual pay estimates, listed above.

Quality

Schedule

This role is part-time with complete flexibility built around school hours, for 20 hours per week. Therapists are expected to be on campus only during their scheduled therapy sessions. There are no required evenings or weekends.

Clock-in/Clock-out: Therapists clock in upon arrival at the school campus and clock out at the end of their scheduled sessions.

Work Days: Specific days and times are flexible and will be set according to student needs and therapist availability, in collaboration with the school.

Flexibility: While therapy sessions are provided in person, documentation and meetings may be completed remotely at your convenience.

School Calendar: The schedule follows the school calendar, with built-in breaks for school holidays and summers off.

Additional Work Hours

There are no after-hours commitments such as evenings or weekends required for this role. Any additional responsibilities, such as IEP meetings or team collaboration, can be completed remotely from home (or wherever works best in your schedule). This provides maximum flexibility while ensuring all required documentation and meetings are covered.

Holidays

Therapists are not expected to work on federal or school-recognized holidays. These days are unpaid but built into the calendar, ensuring you have regular, planned breaks throughout the year.

Productivity Requirements

We do not impose strict productivity quotas. Instead, expectations are centered on providing quality therapy services, completing documentation in a timely manner, and meeting IEP requirements. Our focus is on student success and therapist support, not numbers.

Caseload Cap

Yes, we maintain reasonable caseload caps to ensure therapists are never overwhelmed. Caseloads are kept manageable and tailored to the part-time schedule, allowing you to provide high-quality care with time for documentation and planning.

Other

Does the Contract Include a Non-compete or Non-solicitation?

Yes, to keep things fair and professional, our contracts include a non-solicitation clause. This simply means that while you’re working with Collaborative Therapies (and for one year afterward) you agree not to take on work directly with the schools or clients we connect you to outside of our partnership. This helps us maintain strong relationships with our school partners and ensures consistency for students, while still giving you the freedom to pursue other opportunities outside of our client network.

Clinical Fellowship

Accepts CFs? Yes

% of SLPs in company who are CFs: 35%

CF supervision provided: Yes

CF details: We emphasize collaboration and growth. CFs are never left without support—supervisors are accessible, and CFs are included in professional development events, guest speaker sessions, and peer collaboration opportunities.

Training program: Our training program is designed to support CFs from day one. New hires receive:

  • Orientation to school policies, procedures, and available resources.
  • Hands-on support from a dedicated CF Supervisor during therapy sessions, documentation, and IEP preparation.
  • Gradual independence: CFs begin with structured guidance and observation, then transition into greater autonomy as confidence and skills grow.
  • CFs are typically expected to be largely independent within the first semester (8–12 weeks), though supervision and mentorship continue throughout the fellowship year to ensure steady growth and success.
