Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a speech–language pathologist PRN to join the team. The Speech Language Pathologist conducts clinical speech–language pathology services including comprehensive patient assessment and intervention relating to various diagnoses for ages 12+. The therapist will accurately assess and treat language, speech, voice, cognition, and swallowing impairments resulting from various diagnoses. Instructs therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patient and/or caregivers. We provide onsite FEES and MBS to our patients, and we have access to evidence based advanced rehabilitation technology.

All PRN SLP team members have a set hourly rate of $55/hr.
Full Pay Rate for All Hours Worked?
Yes.
All hours are paid time. We require PRNs to work a minimum of 15 shifts (8 hours per day) per year. There may be additional shifts available depending on SLPs availability and hospital staffing needs.
Client Availability and Impact on Pay
The PRN SLP is paid for all hours worked, as needed.

Schedule
The hours are flexible but usually 8am–4:30pm.
There may be additional shifts available depending on SLPs availability and hospital staffing needs.
All PRN SLPs must work at least 120 hours per year (this is 15 shifts, 8 hour days).
PRN shift requirements are:
15 weekend and holiday dates per year ("holiday" can be fulfilled on the holiday itself or the weekend surrounding the holiday)
Spring: January/February/March/April = 4 weekend days
Summer: May/June/July/August (plus Labor Day) = 4 weekend days, 2 holidays
Fall/Winter: September/October/November/December (plus New Year's Day) = 3 weekend days, 2 holidays

Holidays
Yes, we have a holiday shift requirement of 4 holidays per year for all inpatient clinical team members. Two summer holidays and two winter holidays.
Productivity Requirements
6 to 6.5 hours of treatment within an 8 hour shift is the expectation
Caseload Cap
You wouldn’t be expected to treat more than 6.5 hours, we bring in help to cover patients as needed, we primarily treat 1:1 and staff to that level
