Responsibilities of the Executive Director: 

• Oversees daily operations, including staff management, policy enforcement, service delivery standards, facility oversight, and budget management
• Provides leadership aligned with the organization's mission, while ensuring a positive reputation and strong organizational culture.
• Lead effective communication with staff, children, and families, managing financial assistance processes and supporting clinic operations through example-driven leadership.
• Organizes, motivates and mentors staff to strategically grow the CLC’s impact, programs, fundraising to effectively fulfill its important mission.
• Attends and contributes at all board meetings, implements board policies, ensures ongoing communication of issues, risks and successes
• Ability to manage (understand, engage, document, facilitate resolution and delegate as appropriate) multiple projects and smaller events/tasks
• Demonstrated knowledge in various areas of expertise, excellent oral and written communication skills promoting clear expectations and team work, provides visionary leadership

Monday–Thursday, 8 am–6 pm

Work location: Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center, 4202 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA 23227

Director position is salaried. Additional hours are required at times. 

A number of hours for sick and vacation are earned per pay period (every other week).

11 holidays are paid per year. We do not observe all federal holidays.
