Description
TherapyLink is seeking a dedicated SLP to join our team! We specialize in connecting dedicated therapists to school districts in need. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students. Responsibilities include providing direct therapy, developing and implementing IEPS, collaborating with educators and families, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in EBP, and passionate about support student growth. Strong communication, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills are essential.
Skills And Competencies
Clinical Skills: assessment and diagnosis of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, development and implementation of IEPs, evidence-based intervention planning and therapy delivery, and data collection and progress monitoring.
Collaboration and Communication: effective communication with students, families and multidisciplinary teams, collaboration with teachers and staff to support classroom success, participation in IEP meetings and parent conferences, cultural competence and sensitivity
Organizational Skills: caseload management and scheduling, timely documentation and report writing, compliance with IDEA, state, and district guidelines
Professionalism and Ethics: adherence to ASHA's Code of Ethics and state licensure requirements, commitment to ongoing professional development, flexibility and adaptability in dynamic school environments
Student-Centered Mindset: patience and empathy, creativity in therapy planning, focus on functional communication for academic and social success

Client Availability and Impact on Pay
SLPs will be paid whether the student is available or not. However, if school is canceled for any reason, such as inclement weather, and the SLP does not go to work that day, then pay is not guaranteed.

Schedule
Clock-in time is 30 minutes before school starts, approximately 8:00am. Clock-out time is 30 minutes after the last obligation of the day, could be a student treatment session or a meeting.
Additional Work Hours
Occasionally IEP meetings however in the contract we have a stipulation that IEPs need to be held during school hours when at all possible.
