As a school-based speech–language pathologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with communication disorders. Your expertise will contribute to improving student's quality of life by helping them with their speech and language difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations to assess student's speech and language disorders
• Develop individualized education plans to address student's specific needs
• Provide therapy to improve student's communication skills
• Collaborate with professionals to ensure comprehensive student care
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
• Educate staff, as well as student's and their families on techniques for improving communication

SLPs are paid for cancellations. They are not paid if they (the SLP) are sick, holidays or if there is inclement weather otherwise at this time they are paid for all time on the clock.
