Client Availability and Impact on Pay

Weekly and monthly hours are guaranteed, and the therapist is paid whether a client is available or not.

Pay Rate Determiners

Starting $75,000 salary for 1–3 years experience, no certifications in specialty areas such as feeding, and a caseload of at least 32 hours of direct client time per week, with an average of 4 cancellations and no-shows per week. The pay can be lower if the therapist wants a smaller caseload.

Weekly (paid weekly, 28 contact hours/week) and annual bonuses are offered.

The highest salary of $110,000 is offered to therapists who have been with the company for 5+ years, are in a leadership role, have certifications/expertise in DIR Floortime, Feeding, AAC, etc., or who see a full caseload of adults who are developmentally disabled (bonus at 28 contact hours).

Salaries and raises are based on our clinical ladder expectations. Therapists in a lead or clinical manager role have a lower productivity rate and can also receive weekly and annual bonuses.

Productivity Requirements

info

Salary is based on the employee's desired productivity and is approved by the Clinical Director. The full-time SLP is expected to have a caseload of 28-32 clients hours per week and 80–85% productivity. Lead therapists and clinical managers have a reduced caseload to accommodate their admin time. We have schedulers who follow up with clients daily for attendance so that the therapists can spend their valuable time with their clients, completing CEUs or activities to help with the clinic.

Clinic averages 4–5 cancellations/no-shows per week per clinician.

Our admin staff works closely with therapists to help with productivity and problem-solve as needed. Our agency understands the ups and downs in private practice productivity, such as holiday and summer breaks, and is supportive rather than punitive of therapists during these times.

Caseload Cap

Yes. SLPs should have no more than 32 hours of direct client time per week.

Dedicated Space

Yes: shared office with others

Parental Leave Policy

This policy applies to all Rainbow Road Therapies employees on maternity leave.

Policy Statement: During maternity leave, employees are entitled to the following benefits:

  1. Sick Leave: Employees may use accrued sick leave during maternity leave; however, accrual of additional sick leave will not occur during this period.
  2. Personal Days: Employees may use accrued personal days, but accrual will not be effective during maternity leave.
  3. Holidays: Employees will not receive holiday pay during maternity leave, including work days for downtime between December 23 and January 1.
  4. Health Insurance: Health insurance coverage will continue during maternity leave for twelve weeks in accordance with the existing policy.
  5. Job Protection: Employees returning from maternity leave will be restored to their original position or an equivalent position with equivalent pay, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment in compliance with New Mexico labor laws.
  6. Full-time employees who may need to request maternity leave earlier than the initial 12 weeks requested or later than the 12 weeks requested may have the option of doing teletherapy as long as 80% of the clients agree to be seen via teletherapy. If less than 80%, the full-time employee may choose to have an addendum to their full-time contract and become hourly before or after the 12 weeks. Once returned to full-time status, the full-time contract will be re-enacted.

Duration: This policy remains in effect throughout the maternity leave and is subject to change in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. If maternity leave should be more than the 12 weeks initially requested or if leave is needed prior to the initial maternity leave requested, the employee will need to complete a CSW, and the above 1-6 will be effective during this time.

Review: This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational needs. The benefit may be increased as the clinic continues to grow.
