Swallowing Wellness is the world’s first outpatient center providing care for feeding and swallowing difficulty. We are an innovative, state-of-the art facility with a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating swallowing disorders in pediatrics and adults. As a growing outpatient clinical practice, we are seeking forward-thinking clinicians with strong independence to assist in increasing our patient census, branding and building relationships with medical facilities and community members.

Pay Rate Determiners
Pay rate will be commensurate with level of experience and clinical independence conducting pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders AND competence in and independence in conducting video-fluoroscopic swallow studies.

Additional Work Hours
SLP may be required to participate in administrative/non-clinical tasks to support operations may include assistance with marketing data dissemination efforts to promote patient referral and awareness after hours or on weekends.

Skills And Competencies
The part-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) primary duties include:
• Evaluate and treat pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders
• Evaluate and treat pediatric speech and language disorders
• Independently conduct videofluoroscopic swallow studies
• Create and carry out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs
• Counsel individuals and families on functional management strategies related to swallowing and communication disorders
• Complete timely and thorough medical documentation for each patient
• Review medical records and conduct patient interviews to acquire case history and pertinent details to assist in the diagnostic process
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Complete and maintain detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes (evaluation, treatment progress, discharge summary)
• Make follow-up calls for patients requiring additional carry-over support
• Supervise graduate students and clinical fellows
• Submit accurate, timely and complete billing
Administrative/non-clinical tasks to support operations may include assistance with:
• Scheduling and patient intake
• Preparing patient rooms for evaluation and therapy
• Sanitizing/cleaning before, during and after patient visits
• Completing safe data transfer to secure cloud
• Marketing data dissemination efforts to promote patient referral and awareness

Strong experience in evaluating and treating pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders.
Competence in conducting videofluoroscopic swallow studies.
