Description

We are currently hiring for a position in a school district, part-time.

 

An SLP will serve Pre-K sites and a high school within one school district (Anson County Schools) by: 

  • Performing direct speech-language therapy in person and virtually.
  • Executing case management and compliant documentation according to school and state regulations and clinical guidelines (if within licensing scope and time availability).
  • Participating in IEP meetings (if within licensing scope).
  • Conducting evaluations/screenings with diagnostic reporting (if within licensing scope) at school.
  • The SLP may work in person at the pre-k sites, and could work in-person at the high school or via teletherapy with the high school students if they choose.

Median Pay and Range

This opportunity is for the school year: 24 hours (3 school days) per week, which is about 1,728 hours a school year. All working hours are paid at your full rate. There's also an option for summer hours (16–24 hours per week) with our other contracts surrounding the Charlotte Metro area.

Pay Rate Determiners

The pay is based on years of clinical experience and the projected level of oversight and management needed. Independent proficiency equivalent to <5 years of experience = Base rate, Independent proficiency equivalent to 6-14 years of experience = Mid rate, Independent proficiency equivalent to 15+ years of experience = Highest rate.

Schedule

Enjoy stability with a set number of hours per week based on your agreed week day schedule (24 hours a week = 3 school days). There are no clock in and out times but work hours must be within school operating hours.

No caseload caps. Our contracting partners support our caseload management recommendations such as discharging students/clients and clinically appropriate placements.

Qualifications

Skills And Competencies

  • Experience or willing to grow skills and experience in working with preschool age, developmentally delayed, autistic, and intellectually disabled populations.
  • Proficient and consistent therapy session note management.
  • You’d excel in this position if you are a self-starter who enjoys varying caseloads, a flexible schedule, an autonomous work environment, and personalized high-quality mentoring. 

Required Qualifications

State licenses: North Carolina
CCCs required: No (but preferred)
Other required qualifications: Willing to commute 30+ minutes from the metro Charlotte and surrounding areas (referenced above).

Does the Contract Include a Non-compete or Non-solicitation?

Yes: During the Agreement and twelve (12) months thereafter, Contractor will not solicit any client directly involved with, facility serviced, or solicit or cause to solicit any employee of the Company to leave the employment of the Company.
