The Informed SLP
Comments from Informed Jobs staff:
"Come work with us! I have a bunch of great things I can say about working at The Informed SLP/Informed Jobs, but one of my favorite things is how we support SLPs. And one of the coolest things is that we practice what Informed Jobs wants for all the SLPs in our field! All the information that would be in your job contract is in the job description here. " – Molly S.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my past two-ish years with TISLP/IJ. It's a great place to grow, learn new skills, and connect with other motivated and engaged SLPs! We're always evolving and open to new ideas and collaborations. The description below is 100% accurate!" – Heidi M.
"I’ve worked in different capacities at TISLP for 5 years and have really enjoyed the experience. I’m confident you will too! We have an exceptional, supportive team and two products that are easy to stand behind, sell, and love. Come join us!" – Brynne E.

The Informed SLP
Description
The Informed SLP is seeking a fully remote salesperson for 20 hours per week, starting November 2025.
Your mission in this role:
To connect with customers and potential customers of The Informed SLP via email, phone, Zoom meetings, and live conferences to help them understand the benefits of group membership to The Informed SLP, including knowing the research, earning continuing education, and posting SLP jobs here at Informed Jobs.
Further job description:
Connect with prospective and current TISLP customers
You’ll usually be interacting with decision-makers—so lead SLPs, SPED Directors, Professional Development Coordinators, HR Managers & Directors, at schools, hospitals, agencies, or large private practices. Only some of them will be SLPs, but most of them will have some level of understanding of what SLPs do and need.
Keep our sales processes organized and track data
Optional skills (not required, but nice to have):
Application details and start date:
Start date: Targeting November 3rd, but flexible
Applications due: September 9th, 2025
Extended deadline*: September 16th, 2025
*Extended deadline means we're willing to accept applications up until this date, 9:00 am CST. However, they'll be marked "late" and we’ll only pull from that late pool if there are applicants in it that later pool who exceed the skills and competencies of the earlier candidate pool.
Employment

Salaried
Contract
$48,000–$52,800/yr
Informed Pay
$59–$64/hr
Full Pay Rate for All Hours Worked?
Yes
Pay Rate Determiners
Your starting pay rate will be based on:
Further description of your pay:
You're starting at the low end of our pay scale for skilled SLPs. The $50/hr contract ($48,000 per year) would be if you are missing skills that we'd like you to have, but we hire you anyway because we see promise. The $55/hr contract ($52,800) is if you're a perfect candidate. There is room to be paid more than this, but you won't be eligible for a raise for at least 6–9 months of employment, and at that time we'd measure your sales output and success to justify a higher rate. We're also open to commission contracts, but you'll work at least 18 months with us before we'd discuss that.
Benefits
Stipends (taxed)
IMPORTANT: Due to our stipends (unrestricted), you’ll add $6800 to your annual salary to get your true annual pay, which would be $54,800–$59,600.
You will be fully eligible for all stipends after 6 months of employment, so your first stipends would be paid out in July 2026, then July and December annually after that.
Reimbursements (untaxed)
No planned reimbursements.
Schedule
Fairly flexible. You’ll be working as a member of a sales team with other part-time people and full-time people. While you will need to have your calendar relatively open during the day Monday through Friday so that you can take scheduled Zoom meetings and phone calls, you’re welcome to block certain days or chunks of days as needed. You must have stable availability 3 days per week.
Note that we expect this role to be filled by someone who may have another 20-hour per week job, and we're ok with this. It'll work out well as long as your schedule is consistent (e.g. you're able to block time M/W/F, or other days, for us and you won't suddenly get a last-minute a private SLP client scheduled on a TISLP day).
Additional Work Hours
Hours/days: You'll not be expected to work evenings, weekends, or days/time you have blocked off (note exception with travel, below).
Training: All training time is paid at your full rate and pulled from your 20 available hours per week. The first month you'll be doing mostly training, at your full pay rate.
Travel: You will need to be available for conference travel with us. Some years there will be no travel. Other years you may attend up to three in-person conferences for approximately 3 days each with one or two other team members to run an exhibit booth and network with people.
PTO
PTO: We have a PTO calculation that increases based on years of work at the company, and hours you work. In year 1, at 20 hours per week, you'll be eligible for 97 hours of PTO per year (or approximately one full day per month).
You may take this however you wish, and PTO does not require approval. We simply ask you to tell us when you need to take off, and try to tell us ahead of time if it's a planned vacation so we can have someone else cover your tasks.
Wellness Day: You additionally have one health and wellness day per month. It's "use it or lose it".
In total, you have 24 paid days off per year, plus additional time in late December (see "holidays" below).
Holidays
You aren't required to work any federal holidays.
Our company norm is to take significant time off from December 23rd through January 1st as well, during which time you'll be paid your full rate but not expected to work more than a few hours per week, just to keep things running.
Dedicated Space
Not applicable; work from home.
Parental Leave Policy
Because we are a small company, we negotiate this individually based on the number of hours the person works, the role they have, and the company's needs and resources. If your state has its own unique laws (some do) we'll abide by those. If you would like to request a personal parental leave policy to be written into your contract either at time of hire or at any time in the future, we're happy to do so, and you will in no way be penalized for asking. If you need those plans, we're happy to make them with you!
