Description
The Speech Clinic, Inc. is looking for enthusiastic school based SLPs for an opening in Appoquinimink School District. A full-time position is available, which would be a split caseload between a middle school and high school. This position could be split into 2 part-time positions (3 and 2 days per week, respectively). The daily schedule of up to 7.5 hours includes all of your job responsibilities including therapy, meetings, paperwork, etc.

Skills And Competencies
The ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Prior experience in schools is a plus but not required.

Median Pay and Range
Employees can expect a consistent paycheck throughout the year of at least their base salary. They may earn more if they work over their contractual hours (37.5) or elect to work in a summer program.
Full Pay Rate for All Hours Worked?
Pay range is for up to 37.5 hours per week for the regular school year. Hours worked beyond contractual agreement are compensated at no less than $50/hour in addition to salary.

Benefits
We provide employer sponsored health care through Highmark of Delaware. Depending on plan election, company may pay up to 100% of health insurance premium for employee. After one year of employment, employee may elect to participate in TSC 401k plan, which includes a 3% non-elective company contribution (company pays whether you contribute or not). We provide paid leave for COVID absences, bereavement, and jury duty in addition to sick/personal leave.

Reimbursements (untaxed)
Reimbursements are provided for professional fees (background checks/licensure/ASHA or DSHA membership dues, etc.). All employees of TSC have access to the ASHA Learning Pass for CEUs, in addition to reimbursement of reasonable registration fees for conferences/continuing education opportunities. We also reimburse mileage for those with intraday travel. All materials are provided.

Schedule is Monday through Friday. Start and end times are school specific. 37.5 hours per week

PTO
New employees earn 6 days (45 hours) per school year, in addition to school closures/holidays. Every new employee begins with one day (7.5) to their credit. Time accrues each pay period, but you may use it before it is accrued. Requests are all completed (and approved) through our online timecards, which may be completed on a mobile or computer.
Holidays
We follow the school calendar and all holiday/break/closure time off is paid.
Productivity Requirements
SLPs are expected to carry and maintain their school specific caseload.
Caseload Cap
We do have caseload recommendations and work closely with our school partners to ensure caseloads are manageable. Caseloads can vary based on population.

Parental Leave Policy
For 2025, we have a parental leave policy of four weeks paid at 100%. This may be used in conjunction with employee elected AFLAC leave. In 2026, we will be participating in the Delaware Paid Leave Program (up to 12 weeks paid at 80%).

Training program: TSC works hard to provide excellent supervisors that not only are from our company, but also in the same program/site. We encourage all of our tenured SLPs to participate as a supervisor and compensate them for their efforts. In addition to school and supervisor supports, we are owned and operated by SLPs and have the ability to add additional support as needed to all SLPs, regardless of tenure.
