Full Pay Rate for All Hours Worked?

Yes

Client Availability and Impact on Pay

Weekly pay is based on school being in session and we are looking at working days/breaks when considering the weeks/hours for this role. If there is a bad weather day—the SLP may not be paid for services that day (though the client has allowed for work from home report writing in the past, but this is not guaranteed). When school is on break, SLPs are not paid unless approved to log hours over the break from their supervisor.

Pay Rate Determiners

  • Pay cannot be higher or lower than the rate listed above.
  • Low end is considered someone within their first 1–3 years who is monolingual.
The highest end of this scale would be someone who is working in education for over 20 years and bilingual.

Other factors that can affect the above pay scale is opting into our student loan repayment plan where we can pay up to $437.40 (before taxes) directly to student loan vendors for private/public loans (this causes a $2 difference in pay), or opting into our health insurance. Another factor to consider on pay ranges is we also do travel plans and provide tax-free travel stipends, those would include a lower taxable hourly and high tax-free stipend so there is more income in your pocket per paycheck to pay for housing and meals.

Quality

Schedule

Speech–language pathologist are expected to work full-time (37.5 hours a week, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch) Monday–Friday. The school schedule is still being completed and depending on the campus, but typically they can be flexible on in/out times during the week.

Additional Work Hours

If any after hour commitments are expected outside of the 37.5-hour schedule, we will request overtime to be paid or not have the SLP attend.

PTO

Full-Time and Part-Time employees accrue 1 hour for every 30 hours worked of paid time off. Our PTO schedule runs from August - July. If you are a returning employee, you can rollover up to 37 hours of PTO after August 1st. All PTO must be requested via our system called PayCor and the recruiter and onsite supervisor must be made aware of any expected PTO.

Holidays

Schools are closed on most holidays and the SLPs are not expected to work. If they have any work that needs to be finished, they can request hours on that day from their onsite supervisor but should not work any hours that are unapproved when school is not in session.

Productivity Requirements

info

This client has not set any expectations at this time.

If our employee starts to fall behind or is feeling stressed, we will step in an advocate for a change in caseload to ensure the SLP can complete all items within a timely manner.
