The Informed SLP

Description

The Informed SLP is hiring a part-time (20 hours) fully remote Marketing Coordinator to support our internal team and connect with customers and potential customers. You will report to our Advertising and Marketing Director and work with other social and email marketing team members. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Social media management: Creating, editing, managing and scheduling content across platforms; contributing to platform-specific strategy; adapting to our brand voice; responding to customer inquiries via social channels.
  • Email marketing execution: Creating and executing email campaigns, assisting with email marketing automation, personalization and strategy, and working comfortably in email software (like ActiveCampaign).
  • Campaign coordination: Ensuring all deliverables are completed on time, monitoring the campaign calendar, coordinating timing across multiple campaigns, and helping produce assets such as social templates, sales PDFs, informational videos, and partnership materials.
  • Conference logistics: Helping create conference materials, merch, and partnership assets that align with our brand and design standards.
  • Support marketing operations and systems: Maintaining processes, systems, databases, and software; staying organized; managing multiple projects simultaneously; and responding quickly and effectively to feedback.

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has relevant experience in social media management and marketing
  • Is highly skilled and comfortable with graphic design and copywriting
  • Has strong writing skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Can manage multiple projects at once and stay organized
  • Can learn new software quickly
  • Can consistently execute high-quality deliverables that feel authentic to our brand and meet our design standards

Your starting pay rate will be based on:

  • Skills: Alignment with required and desired competencies.
  • Experience: Demonstration of ability to achieve outcomes related to competencies, based on past experience.

 

Further description of your pay:

You're starting at the beginning of our pay scale for skilled SLPs. The $50/hr contract ($48,000 per year) would be if you are missing skills that we'd like you to have, but we hire you anyway because we see promise. $53/hr is if you're a highly skilled candidate. There is room to be paid more than this, but only after working at least 9 months with our company and demonstrating exceptional skillset and contribution.

IMPORTANT: Due to our stipends (unrestricted), you’ll add $6800 to your annual salary to get your true annual pay, which would be $54,800–$57,800.

 

You will be fully eligible for all stipends after 6 months of employment, so your first stipends would be paid out in December 2026.

Flexible. Weekly schedule and time off do not require approval.

 

You’ll be working as a member of a sales and marketing team with other part-time and full-time people. Roughly 70% of your work can be asynchronous (so any day or time you prefer), but 30% of your time (approximately 6 hours) needs to occur between 10 am and 5:00 pm CST so that you can work with other staff. 

Additional Work Hours

You'll not be expected to work evenings, weekends, or days/time you have blocked off.

PTO

Employees receive 12 equal monthly payments throughout the year, which covers 48 weeks of work. While there are 52 weeks in a year, the 4-week difference accounts for holidays, vacation, and other leave. Your monthly salary remains consistent year-round, regardless of the days you take off, with the expectation that you'll use your allocated time off during the year however you wish. This breaks down as follows:

 

PTO: We have a PTO calculation that increases based on years of work at the company, and hours you work. In year 1, at 20 hours per week, you'll be eligible for 97 hours of PTO per year (or approximately one full day per month). You may take this however you wish, and PTO does not require approval. 

 

Wellness Day: You additionally have one health and wellness day per month. It's "use it or lose it".

 

In total, you will have 24 paid days off per year (PTO + Wellness Days) + 20 unpaid days (standard company calendar), for a total of 44 days that you may take at any time you want. We simply ask you to tell us ahead of time when you're wanting to take off several days in a row for planned vacation so that we can have someone else cover your tasks.

Holidays

You choose your own holiday schedule. You aren't required to work (or take off work) for any federal, religious, or personal holidays. Our staff celebrate and take breaks on the days that work for them.

Dedicated Space

Not applicable; work from home.

Parental Leave Policy

Because we are a small company, we negotiate this individually based on the number of hours the person works, the role they have, and the company's needs and resources. If your state has its own unique laws (some do) we'll abide by those. If you would like to request a personal parental leave policy to be written into your contract, either at the time of hire or at any time in the future, we're happy to do so, and you will in no way be penalized for asking. If you need those plans, we're happy to make them with you!

Qualifications

Skills And Competencies

Required:

  • Design
    • Must demonstrate skill at designing social media posts and digital and printable marketing assets (e.g. fliers, mailers, downloadables).
  • Copywriting
    • Must demonstrate strong copywriting skills for sales and marketing.
  • Social Media
    • Must demonstrate understanding of how design, copy, tone, and format vary across social media platforms, and how to successfully grow on each.

Preferred:

  • Personal soft skills & task-related skills:
    • Self-directed (self-starter, proactive, quick learner)
    • Organized (organized, efficient, good time management)
    • Problem-solver (finds multiple solutions to a problem)
    • Creative (thinks outside the box, finds new or unique solutions readily)
    • Ethical and shows clear integrity
  • Interpersonal soft skills:
    • Communication (good communication skills (written and via Zoom, primarily)
    • Flexible and open-minded (open to feedback and differing ideas)

Required Qualifications

Background: Our company tends to hire SLPs, then train them into the role they’re taking. If a person is a non-SLP, we’d like them to have a solid background in the job we’re hiring for. Therefore, our preferred hire is:

  • SLP with marketing background

 

However, we’re also open to:

  • SLP with no or light marketing background
  • Non-SLP (or SLP student) with a marketing background

 

Location: We're open to international applicants, but you must be available between the hours of 10:00 am to 5:00 pm CST most days and have advanced American English proficiency.

Other

Does the Contract Include a Non-compete or Non-solicitation?

  • No traditional non-compete. While working with us, you will be required to disclose if you're actively employed by any of our competitors, as that can be an issue. But after you leave TISLP, you may work for any company you wish, or start your own.
  • We do have a non-solicitation.

Clinical Fellowship

Not accepting CFs unless they have a strong marketing background and skillset. When we hire SLPs, we prefer they have two years of experience.
