Description
SSP2P is currently seeking a full-time speech–language pathologist to join our amazing team! The speech–language pathologist will provide early intervention communication and feeding/swallowing therapy to eligible children in Birth to Three program with a focus on Parent Coaching. This position will primarily serve children and families living in Thurston County, Washington.

CCCs required: Yes
Other required qualifications:
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Valid Washington State Driver's license with acceptable driving record, car insurance, and reliable transportation
- Pediatric experience: 1 year (preferred)

Median pay rate is $45/hr or $94,000 annual.

Client Availability and Impact on Pay
Hours are guaranteed as we provide ample time for home visits, travel, report writing, team meetings, and continuing education.
Pay Rate Determiners
Pay rate is determined by number of years and type of experience. Experience in feeding and swallowing will also contribute to pay consideration.

Continuing Education Stipend up to $5,000.
Reimbursements (untaxed)
We reimburse for travel, liability insurance, and continuing education.
Schedule
SSP2P offers a great deal of flexibility in employee's schedules. We require staff to work during a regular work week but they may choose the schedule best for them. Employees may work four 10-hour days, start and end early or late, or split their day.

We give all employees working 20+ hours/week the following:
Flex Time Off - 2 paid weeks at the first of the year to use as they like after 6 month probation.
Paid Time Off - .07 accrued for each hour worked starting on first day. Accrual rate increases at 5, 10, and 15 years. PTO can rollover at the end of year.
To request time off, an employee emails their supervisor and once approved enters it in payroll system.

We offer the following 11 paid holidays:
- New Year’s Day (January 1)
- Martin Luther King Day (third Monday in January)
- President’s Day (third Monday in February)
- Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
- Juneteenth National Independence Day (June 19)
- Independence Day (July 4)
- Labor Day (first Monday in September)

- Thanksgiving, and the day following Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November and the following Friday)

Productivity Requirements
Reports, evaluations, and progress notes must be entered into the Electronic Medical Record System within a state specified number of days.
Caseload Cap
SLPs are given a caseload based on the number of hours per week they work and the area that they serve. We understand there are frequent cancellations in the pediatric population, and there is no penalty for the therapist when the patient cancels. Time for travel, visits, reports, and team meetings is also factored in to help ensure an employee's success.

Parental Leave Policy
Parental Leave is paid through the Washington State Paid Family & Medical Leave policy. The state pays a percentage of an employee's salary and SSP2P pays the remaining portion so that employees receive their full pay.

Training program: We provide ongoing training and mentoring to ensure they are ready to do visits independently. However, we encourage staff to join one another on visits so they may continue to learn as well as provide fewer appointments for families whenever they like.
