Pay Rate Determiners
Pay scale is determined by how many years experience on the Masters lane from 0 to 32 years experience. There is a Masters+15 and Masters+30 pay scale, as well as EDS and doctorate.

Travel mileage is reimbursed across district. Some SLPs at the elementary level receive $500 in teacher assistance funds for materials. District SLPs get yearly subscriptions to one professional development option and one treatment option (Ultimate SLP, SLP Now, ASHA Pass, Informed SLP and AAC Language Lab). Each building has a SPED clerk that sets up conferences and does the contact log and notice of conference. ABESPA (Arkansas license) and ASHA fees are reimbursed. We provide needed protocols and testing material in a collective, group order each year. We also have an AAC trial inventory of IPads with LAMP, Touch Chat, Proloquo2Go, Snap + Core and Go Talk.
Schedule
Elementary schedule is 7:45am–3:15pm
District related service providers utilize 3:1 model
Full time, 40 hours a week, 190 day contract that follows typical school schedule and breaks

There are 10 sick days and 2 personal days each year. We have a program called Frontline where you enter upcoming absences for approval from administration.
Holidays
Holidays breaks are included in the school schedule including a week for Thanksgiving, 2 weeks for Christmas, a week for Spring Break and approximately two and a half months for summer break.

Skills And Competencies
Responsibilities include screening and evaluating children for speech, language, and early literacy needs; designing and implementing play-based therapy; and collaborating closely with families, teachers, and early childhood staff to embed strategies into daily routines. The SLP develops IEP goals, provides therapy in individual and small-group settings, and coaches caregivers and educators to create language-rich environments that foster social, academic, and developmental growth.

Training program: For new SLPs, we provide weekly, biweekly or monthly check-ins with a mentor SLP if they would like them. We have a new SLP training at the beginning of the school year. The Lead SLP is available for any questions or help needed. Help is provided in as many ways as possible, text, email, videos, zoom calls, etc.
