Description

The speech–language pathologist is responsible for providing speech and language assessments and therapy for the Clinical Services Division at CHC in Palo Alto.

This is a a salaried position, with work hours being roughly 40 hours/week.

Additional Work Hours

Meeting the needs of our clients, after-school availability in the afternoon and evening hours is required. Availability between 2pm–6pm is preferred.

Qualifications

Skills And Competencies

  • Knowledge and understanding of CHC’s four areas of expertise: ADHD, LD, Anxiety & Depression and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Ability and desire to work as part of interdisciplinary clinic.
  • Practical clinical experience preferably in interdisciplinary setting.
  • Possesses exceptional customer service, interpersonal and written communication skills with demonstrated   sensitivity to and flexibility with varied clients and situations.
  • Willingness and flexibility to schedule appointments when clients and families are available, especially after school.
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers.
  • Fluency in client languages such as: Spanish, Hebrew, or Vietnamese preferred.
  • Knowledge and use of evidence-based practice.
