Description
Want to work as a pediatric acute care SLP at the #1 Children's Hospital in Virginia? We float between all pediatric in-patient units (the cardiac ICU, pediatric ICU, general peds floors, and NICU). We primarily engage in dysphagia treatment but also treat speech/language or cognition as indicated. You will be working with a team of SLPs and on a larger multi-disciplinary team with PT and OT colleagues. We are a regional center for pediatric care and are nestled in Charlottesville, Virginia which has mountains, rivers, restaurants, great schools, and all four seasons!

Schedule
Monday–Friday; Weekend schedule (approximately 1 out of every 7 weekends); Holiday coverage throughout the year as determined by team. Hours vary from 7 am–5 pm. Staff work a variety of schedules from 4–5 days/week.

Additional Work Hours
If census is high and patients need to be seen there are very occasional times when you'd stay later than allotted hours but can flex time to make up for it on other days. Overtime pay infrequently provided.
PTO
PTO lumped into one group. Accrue at a rate of 8 hour/pay period or pro-rated below if less than 40 hours. Paid 2x/month. Manager discretion to grant PTO but flexible and supportive of work/life balance throughout the organization. First year employees at 40 hours a week accrue 22 days a year.
