Description
Speech–language pathologist at a dual language immersion school in French, Spanish, or Chinese. SLLIS is a multilingual, culturally responsive, transformational education that enriches the children of St. Louis City, for free.
Skills And Competencies
- Provides appropriate, research-based scaffolds and differentiates instruction
Implements Individualized Education Plans and student goals
- Collects and analyzes data, and uses it to drive decisions
- Collects and analyzes data to track IEP goal progress to drive intervention planning
- Implements Individualized Education Plans and student goals
- Maintains student records; prepares reports on student performance; prepares other reports as requested.
- Consult with colleagues, supervisors, and other professionals regarding the special education and general education needs of individual students.
- Serves as a resource to school staff and families in the development of a balanced program for communication and speech-language development.
- Assists and guides teachers/parents in observing, describing and referring students with suspected and/or identified speech-language problems.
- Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of articulation, voice, fluency, and language.
- Provides screening to specified grade levels at regular intervals to identify speech and/or language-impaired children.
