Description

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, SLP-owned company that truly understands the needs of school-based clinicians. At AnetSpeech, you’ll work in a supportive environment where your input is valued and your growth is prioritized. Our leadership includes experienced SLPs who know the demands of working in schools and are committed to making the job sustainable and rewarding.

The district you’ll serve is organized, welcoming, and student-centered—with systems in place to help you do your best work without burning out.

Here’s what one SLP said about working with us:
"It can be extremely difficult to find a company that supports you, respects you as a professional, and doesn’t just view you as a dollar sign. Annette takes pride in her therapist-owned company, which is demonstrated in employment compensation, benefits, support, and overall ethics." — Becka D.

Quality

Schedule

Specific times will be per District guidelines, and per the start/dismissal times of your assigned school. Paid days follow the District student calendar. Staff typically clock in at least 30min prior to school start and 30min past dismissal. Lunch is unpaid and typically 30min. Total daily time is 7.5 hours. Time spent at IEP/Eval meetings held past typical work day can be flexed within the week. Timesheets are turned in each Friday to AnetSpeech directly for paychecks the following Friday via Gusto.

Additional Work Hours

None

PTO

PTO accrues per WA state requirements.

  • The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is a federal law that entitles eligible employees of covered employers to take unpaid, job-protected leave for certain family and medical reasons. The FMLA applies only to covered employers. These include: Private-sector employers who employ 50 or more people during any 20-week period in the current or preceding calendar year within a 75-mile radius. AnetSpeech is not a covered employer per this definition.
  • Paid Sick and Safe Leave (PSSL): Employees earn 1 hour for each 40 hours worked. 2 weeks’ notice required other than emergency, illness, or sudden necessity. PTO may be used for leave for vacation, sick leave, or other leave. If an employee uses all accrued leave for non-illness purposes, AnetSpeech is not required to provide additional PTO to cover requests for sick leave time; employees may take unpaid sick leave in such instances.

Holidays

Holidays follow the district school calendar and are unpaid days.

Productivity Requirements

info

None.

Caseload Cap

AnetSpeech’s contracts with School Districts state a cap of 55 students for a full-time SLP if no SLPA is provided.

Dedicated Space

Undisclosed.

Parental Leave Policy

As a small business in WA we participate in the state’s Paid Family and Medical Leave program. Premiums will be collected via payroll for employees living in Washington state. This program follows state guidelines, including: Should the employee have a qualifying event, they will apply for leave directly with the state and notify AnetSpeech in writing at least 30 days in advance for planned leaves.

Other

Does the Contract Include a Non-compete or Non-solicitation?

Yes. The employee Intent-to-Hire Offer letter will include a non-solicitation. This is because the Offer Letter is signed prior to the district interview, pending background checks, and submission of all required credentials/documentation. The Offer Letter is not to be construed as an employee contract. After district interview, an Employee Agreement is signed; this does have a non-disclosure and a non-solicitation clause. There is a non-solicitation in the contract between the district and AnetSpeech, with provision for a finder’s fee if the district should pursue direct hire of an AnetSpeech employee. There are no non-compete clauses in any documents signed by AnetSpeech with either the employee or the district.

Clinical Fellowship

Accepts CFs? Possibly. We are open to having a CF, and supervision may be provided by the district or by AnetSpeech; this program is still in development, however.
