Description
Practical Speech is seeking motivated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our team as associates! We specialize in Orofacial Myofunctional therapy, motor speech, feeding, and tethered oral tissues. We're looking for therapists available in the afternoons and evenings to work primarily with school-aged clients in their homes. If you're interested in how myofunctional therapy fits into a great speech therapy practice, please contact us!
Associates will have access to a materials library, mentorship, reimbursement for CEU courses, a strong referral network, and the company’s administrative assistant for help with scheduling. They will get to implement great therapy and grow as a clinician without the administrative tasks that cause burnout!

In-Home Treatment | 45 min | $185
In-Home family rate for 2+ family members | 30 min back-to-back sessions | $115.50 (per session)
Just therapy! Evaluations will be completed by our owner/lead SLP.
Clinician receives the following percentages of rate billed to client per visit:
Entry-Level Associate - 50% of billed rate // 0-250 sessions (working with Practical Speech)
Junior Associate - 60% of billed rate // 251-500 sessions
Senior Associate - 70% of billed rate // 501-1,500 sessions
Lead Associate - 80% of billed rate // 1,501 or more sessions
Note: Associates have the opportunity to move up in the pay scale more quickly through taking pre-approved CEU courses. For example, if an entry-level associate took an 18-hour training course, that would count as 18 sessions toward the 251 sessions needed to become a junior associate.

Schedule
At Practical Speech, your work days and hours are relatively flexible, though we are looking for someone who can work consistent days of the week and provide evening and/or weekend availability for families. We are looking for someone who can work 2–10 billable hours a week, 50 weeks per year.
Additional Work Hours
We ask that treatment documentation be completed in a timely manner (within 24 hours) and provided to clients via Simple Practice. This may require some “after-hours” work depending on how long each therapist needs to get their notes completed.
PTO
No paid time off. Sick days happen! We just require associates to notify the Practical Speech administrative assistant as soon as it is known that appointments must be cancelled. Pay is not provided for the cancelled appointments, but the admin assistant will do their best to reschedule in a time frame that will provide payment in the same pay period.
Holidays
Practical Speech observes most federal holidays, but associates may choose to offer appointment availability on holidays if desired. Holidays are unpaid unless an appointment is filled that day.
