Note that we have two clinic locations and you could work at either: 17020 SW Upper Boones Ferry Road, Suite 201, Durham, Oregon 97224, and 3644 SW Troy St.,  Suite 100, Portland, Oregon 97219.

 

We also have multiple employment/wage models. This post represents our salaried position, but we have hourly and part-time additionally available.

Pay Rate Determiners

Our compensation models are designed to support clinical excellence while empowering each clinician to choose a structure that aligns with their workstyle, productivity preferences, and earnings goals.

 

The pay and details in this post represent our salaried position. However, we additionally have hourly positions available for part-time or full-time work, paid as follows: 

  • $70/hr is general speech & language direct time
  • $77/hr for individuals who have met both our feeding (pediatric responsive feeding) AND oromyofunctional disorder competencies.
  • $20/hr indirect time (paperwork, admin)

Quality

Schedule

  • Our clinic hours are M–F 7:30am–6 pm. Your schedule would be catered to your earning goals, but would fall within that time range.
  • For the salaried compensation model, you'd be scheduled 40 hours within that timeframe.

Productivity Requirements

For this salaried position, expect 49 clinical visits (approximately 25.5 hours of direct patient time) in a 40 hour week (64% productivity).

 

Parkwood remains committed to equitable, transparent, and growth-oriented compensation structures that support our clinicians and the families we serve. Our compensation structures are based on each clinicians workstyle, productivity preferences, and earnings goals.

Caseload Cap

Our treatment sessions are 30 minutes in length; our evaluations are 60 minutes.

Qualifications

Skills And Competencies

  • Produce comprehensive Speech, Language, and/or Feeding Evaluations to the Parkwood standard of quality
  • Treatment of clients across all ages and abilities continuum
  • We serve culturally and linguistically diverse client populations. We encourage multilingual applicants of all skill levels to apply! Languages include: Spanish, Arabic, and Mandarin.
  • Use of Ensora Therapy Rehab Suite (formerly Fusion Web Clinic) EMR to support the clinical documentation process, including but not limited to:

    Evaluation writing
    Goal writing
    Completing letters of medical necessity
    Treatment notes (including the use of correct CPT Code(s) & ICD-10(s))
    Re-evaluations
    Screenings
    Signed Mutual Exchanges of Information
    Correspondence with referring providers/interdisciplinary communication & collaboration

  • Maintain CEU credits
  • Feeding/AAC/OMT training preferred

Work environment and physical requirement

All candidates who have received a written offer of employment will be required to undergo testing and pass a drug screen for commonly abused controlled substances (including marijuana), and consent to a background check. Employment is contingent on these results.

Training program: We provide 1:1 mentorship throughout the Clinical Fellowship Year. Our goal is to build confident, knowledgeable clinicians who develop and demonstrate the following skill sets:


Clinical Skills:
OMT and/or Feeding training and experience
Enjoys working with the pediatric population and their families/caregivers
Creative, wholistic approach to treatment
Ex. Considering the role of orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMD) in articulation errors and behavioral patterns
Strong behavior management skills across pediatric populations
Driven to meet clinic and client goals/targets
Ability to initiate and foster professional relationships
Likes to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Desire to learn and advance clinical skill set
