SLPs work during the school year and determine their own schedule based on their needs, their family needs, and the school needs.
This hour contract could vary week to week based on IEP meetings or workload but should average to 27.5 hours per week for the school year (approx. 990 hours per year), with direct and indirect time paid at the same rate.
