Description

Agape Therapies & Educational Services is a woman and therapist-owned and operated company based in the Chicago area. We have SW, SLPs, SLPAs, Psychologists, etc. all over the country. We provide the highest level of professional services in schools across the nation. With the option for in-person and remote services, our team of professionals always utilizes evidence-based practices and is committed to continuing education. This is a full-time on-site role for a speech-language pathologist located in various locations across Texas. The speech-language pathologist will be responsible for conducting assessments, parent interviews, leading meetings, coordinating meetings, providing individual or group therapy sessions, etc. They will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, track progress data, and evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on client needs.

Pay ranges from $50 to $65 an hour, based on qualifications and years of experience.

Yes. Our staff are paid for both direct and indirect time at the same rate.

The schedule is dependent on the location.

Additional Work Hours

Our SLPs are required to participate in IEPs, meetings, etc. However, if they are after working hours it is not required as long as the team is informed and ALL of the speech portions of the paperwork are completed in advance in accordance to state and federal law. 

PTO

Our PTO and sick day policies are the same. All time off is accrued based on our home base's state law. 
The Employee shall accrue paid leave at the rate of one (1) hour of paid leave for every forty (40) hours worked.

Holidays

The SLP will abide by the school district's school calendar and have the same holidays off as the teaching staff.

No. Our only requirement is that our staff track any indirect time and what was worked on during that indirect time, unless otherwise required by the district. 

Caseload Cap

We abide by the work-load model as written by ASHA and ISHA the Illinois Speech and Hearing Association. Caseloads do not accurately reflect the feasibility of a position.

Qualifications

Skills And Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to assess and diagnose various delays/ disorders
  • Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions
  • Experience in providing individual and group therapy
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in documentation, record-keeping, and medicaid billing
  • License or certification as a speech language pathologist in Texas
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • CFs are welcome

CF details: We have done a lot of CF training and supervision. We also have former professors on staff who have experience teaching at the graduate level.

All new staff are assigned a mentor and a regional manager (both who are SLPs)
We have trainings at the start of every school year as well. 
Cumulatively, our staff represents 6 different languages.
